Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov - adapted by Mustapha Matura

Beaufort School visited Everyman Theatre to watch a specially adapted production of 'Three Sisters' by Anthon Chekov. They also viewed 'Acts of Love' - a production based on one part of the play and focussing on two main characters. This performance provided the students with the knowledge and  incentive to develop their own extract from a play. Beaufort Students used their experience to proceed from this and produce their own version of a play - 'Motherland' about Slavery, which they presented at the Fishpool Award Ceremony at the Guildhall, Gloucester, in June 2006.

For more information on both plays, please contact Andrew Golightly at Beaufort School.
