Training for Schools

Training courses provided by READS currently available include the following:

• EAL pupils in the Early Years
• English as an Additional Language - Primary
• English as an Additional Language - Secondary
• English as an Additional Language - Teaching Assistant Training
• English as an Additional Language for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Trainee Teachers
• Race Equality and Diversity
• Racist Incidents
• Working with Refugee and Asylum Seeking Pupils
• Refugee Issues in the Citizenship Curriculum
• Traveller Education

Some of the above courses can be booked through the LEA PDC and are held at the Hucclecote Centre.

The Race Equality and Diversity Service also offers school based training.
