Pupils at Whitminster C. of E. Primary
School test out the balls they have made out of plastic bags and
string after learning that this is how the children of Kigulya village
make their own balls. The Whitminster pupils discovered that
these balls can actually bounce if tightly made, but that if the
string is not securely knotted into a form of net, it will easily
unravel and the ball will fall apart. Their admiration for
the skill of the Ugandan school children increased measurably through
this exercise! |
