Explore the world and discover different cultures in special multicultural workshops based on objects, costume, stories and art from the museum collection!

Eid and Islamic Art

This is a new addition to our popular Festivals workshop programme for schools.

  • Enjoy familiar stories shared between Islam and other religions
  • Discover traditional artefacts and costume
  • Explore and create beautiful non-figurative Islamic artwork and calligraphy

These workshops will be piloted in the Spring Term

Don't forget! - Our other Celebrations and Festivals sessions include:

  • Diwali
  • Victorian/1940s Christmas
  • Chinese New Year
  • Harvest - based on the Dixton paintings portraying the 18th Century Hay Harvest

We also offer Around the World workshops for KS1 that can focus on stories, costume, objects and an art activity from Africa, India or China. You choose which!
