Parent Training
This year we have been able to offer an exciting opportunity to schools within Fishpool. In conjunction with ACA and REU, the Strengthening Families and Communities programme continues to run the 13-week sessions.
However, with additional money from READS and Connexions, we invited schools to put in a tender for a parenting programme to take place at their school. Although initially we had only budgeted for one school, we were so impressed that we decided to make this available to two. As a consequence, both CTC and Brockworth Enterprise have been running these programmes simultaneously for their parents and invited associates. The schools have provided the venue and related facilities, ACA have organised the programme timings and the facilitators have been Pauline Reynolds and Mary Sargent at CTC and Haltia Watkins and Tony Francis at Brockworth Enterprise.
Both schools received taster sessions led by Dee, Pauline, Haltia and Alex and the facilitators also held a school assembly to inform the students and staff before commencing the programmes. The parent awards were presented at this year's Fishpool Awards Ceremony.
