Theme: Gypy, Roma, TravellerLooking Forward to June 2009June will remain the month for GRTHM in 2009 and people in Gloucestershire and nationally are already planning for the next event in order to have plenty of time to organise and build on the successes of 2008. 
Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month didn't just celebrate history but made it as well, as Gypsies and Travellers joined forces with others to mark the first annual Gypsy Roma Traveller (GRT) History Month. It also raised the profile of Gypsy Roma Travellers in schools across the region.
Involve Your SchoolIf you have a project or event that you are organising in your school for June 2009 please let us know and we would be happy to publicise or support it in any other way. We have resources for display as well as organised art and curriculum based activities that focus upon Traveller cultures. We are developing a directory of Musicians, Artists, Writers, Storytellers etc. who will be able to participate in workshops, seminars and performances or accept commissions.
