Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum Education and Outreach Service

Explore the world and discover different cultures in special multicultural workshops based on objects, costume, stories and art from the museum collection!

Eid and Islamic Art

This is a new addition to our popular Festivals workshop programme for schools.

  • Enjoy familiar stories shared between Islam and other religions
  • Discover traditional artefacts and costume
  • Explore and create beautiful non-figurative Islamic artwork and calligraphy

These workshops will be piloted in the Spring Term at a special introductory rate. We are now taking bookings for Monday 26 February to Thursday 1 March inclusive. Workshops for up to 30 children last for approximately one and a half to three quarter hours and can be arranged for either a morning or afternoon slot. Because we have secured funding to develop these new workshops, we have decided that the first two bookings we receive will be free, and others within that week will be £35 + vat per class.

After the special introductory week, the workshops can be booked at any time during the year at £60 + vat for a class of up to 30 children.
